Karen was involved in the Anne Arundel education system for over 35 years. After retirement she was active with the Anne Arundel Reading Council and the State of Maryland International Reading Association. She was well known for her artistic talent, producing oil and watercolor paintings, as well as producing handmade greeting cards over the years. Friends may visit Barranco Sons Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Services will be held at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church on Monday at 2pm with a reception to follow in the Church Hall.
