Much has changed about Baltimore and we want you to help us document it! The Baltimore Museum of Industry has been entrusted with the Baltimore Gas and Electric company’s archival collection, consisting of some 80,000 photographs of Baltimore’s streets, buildings, and businesses. We’ve selected 31 of the best photos from the BGE collection and now you’re invited to help capture what those places look like today.

In February 2016, the BMI will open an exhibition featuring the old photos as well as the new ones submitted for each location, and your photos will be part of that exhibition. Prizes will be awarded for the five best photos. Winning photos will be prominently displayed in the exhibition and each winner will receive a $100 VISA gift card and a framed photographic print of the BGE historic photo that corresponds to your winning entry. Each week one contestant will be chosen to receive a pair of tickets to The BMI’s December 3rd beer tasting event featuring Heavy Seas Brewery founder Hugh Sisson.

Look through the pictures we have chosen and pick which photo (or photos) inspires you. Each picture has its own geo-specific map so that you will be able to find the location.
