On 17 November, please join the club on a field trip to Jug Bay Wetlands.

Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary (JBWS or Sanctuary) is located within the tidal reaches of the Patuxent River, in southern Anne Arundel County. The Sanctuary protects about 1,700 acres of unique tidal freshwater marshes, forested wetlands, upland and riparian forest, creeks, meadows, pine and sand barrens, and fields along the Patuxent River. 

The wetlands are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Unlike many parks they are NOT open from dawn to dusk.

Jug Bay Wetlands is located at 1361 Wrighton Rd, Lothian, MD 20711-9740. The wetlands are located approximately 40 miles from Severna Park Baptist Church.  Click here for directions.

Friday, November 17th is the National Take a Hike. In celebration, spend the morning exploring an unfamiliar trail by taking a guided hike with a Park Ranger or a Volunteer Naturalist. Enjoy the changing of the seasons and spending time in Nature. Click here for more information and to register.
