Learn cave photography from Ryan Maurer. This field trip takes place at Alexander Caves in Pennsylvania. Ryan will show you both a wide angle shot (the cave equivalent of a landscape), and a macro photo of crystals and pearls. RSVP required. The roster is nearly full. Thursday evening at 7:00pm is our annual “What I did this summer” meeting at the Severna Park Baptist Church in Severna Park. Plan to attend and tell us a little about your summer adventures. Please go through your images and select three or four photos you would like to share with the club. This evening of sharing is stress-free—no judging nor prizes, just sharing. And if you want to try out a photo or so you are considering for contests later this year, there are no restrictions. For members unable to attend in person and wishing to join us online, We will share the Zoom link for the meeting.
For the second year in a row, the Arundel Camera Club is sponsoring the Anne Arundel County Fair Photography contest and exhibit. This is a great opportunity for community outreach. We will need the support of the whole club.
Digital Contest—The theme is Open, so anything goes. The contest is open to both novice and unlimited paid club members. Club members may enter up to three digital images. Entries will be reviewed and critiqued by a judge. Top photographs earn points toward club awards and recognition.

The Museum complex houses our extensive collection of WM artifacts and memorabilia, a voluminous photo archive, archival material directly from the Western Maryland Railway, and an extensive railroader's library featuring historical and technical publications about the WM and other roads of the region. Major exhibits include the callers boards from Hagerstown, Md., and Ridgeley, W.Va., and the CTC panel for most of the Lurgan Subdivision.
Integral parts of the organization are model railroad layouts. A permanent N-scale layout, which represents the Union Bridge to the Twin Bridges (west of Thurmont) section of the East Subdivision of the Western Maryland Railway in the 1950s, is housed in the Museum. There is also a 4 x 16 foot HO scale layout on display in the depot building.
