SUMMARY:October Zoom - Photo Talk/Critique Night
DESCRIPTION:Join us via Zoom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday\, October 6 for a Photo Talk and Critique Night. \nThis friendly\, informal event gives club members an opportunity to share photographs they are working on and receive thoughtful feedback\, constructive criticism\, and suggestions for improving their images. Our goal is to encourage creativity and help everyone leave having learned something new. Honest feedback is welcome; harsh or disrespectful criticism is not. \nEach photographer will share a photograph of their own and explain what they are trying to do with it. \nClub members will then have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss: \n\nWhat makes the photograph successful\nWhat may distract from its impact or message\nHow the image might be strengthened\nOther creative approaches the photographer could consider\n\nA Talk Leader will guide the conversation\, encourage participation\, and keep the discussion moving. The leader’s role is to facilitate the discussion—not to present the photographs or provide all the comments and critiques. \nWhen the discussion has run its course\, the Talk Leader will move to the next participant. We will rotate through the participants one photograph at a time so that everyone has an opportunity to share. \nIf we have a lot of participants\, photographers will be limited to one photograph each. Time permitting\, we will go through the rotation again for more photographs. Members should be prepared to share up to three digital images. There is no theme\, so anything goes! \nPhoto Talk Night is open to all paid club members in both the Novice and Unlimited categories.
