Program – Glen Thompson – Capturing Life on The Chesapeake

January 8 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us at 7PM on Thursday January 8 at the Severna Park Baptist for a talk Photographing the Chesapeake Bay: Techniques, Challenges, and Discoveries a never- ending project by Glenn Thompson. This includes the camera’s, lens and settings I used on each image.

A lifelong Maryland resident, Glenn focuses his photography on the beauty and working life of the Chesapeake Bay. From his kayak, he captures watermen at dawn, migratory birds in flight, and the everyday moments that define the bay he loves. His volunteer work as a crewmember aboard the skipjacks Dee of St. Mary’s and Wilma Lee have also given him a unique vantage point to photograph the Bay’s maritime heritage.

Glen has been a member of the Bowie–Crofton Camera Club since 2013 and has twice been named Master Photographer of the Year. He is also a member of the Muddy Creek Art Guild and continues to volunteer as a crew on the Chesapeake skipjacks Dee of St. Mary’s and Wilma Lee.
