FYI: On Weekends you can park there for about $5 all Day.

Note there are two garages on Caroline St. one further South i.e. closer to Fells point is more expensive and it not the one described here.

You will come to cheaper one (i.e. listed here) first if you head south on Caroline St.

2015 Dec. 2: Photo Walk – 34th St Baltimore

In lieu of a normal meeting, this Wednesday, Arundel Camera Club will hold a photowalk on 34th Street in Baltimore, the home of the well known “Miracle on 34th Street.” It is an exceptional opportunity for night photography, with competition fast approaching on December 9th.

Members interested in carpooling can meet at the parking lot in front of SPHS at 7:00 pm, with arrival around 7:30 to 7:45. Bring tripods and warm clothing. Hopefully, if enough interest, we can regroup afterward at one of the nearby restaurants.

Members wishing to drive on their own can meet the rest of the group around the estimated 7:30 expected arrival time.

In Baltimore, Maryland, Miracle on 34th Street is a display of holiday lights that takes place annually on the 700 block of 34th Street (between Chestnut Avenue and Keswick Road) in Baltimore’s Hampden community. The display, which involves the residents of most of the houses on the block, started in 1947, and takes place between late November and early January, celebrating its 69th year this Christmas. The location at the time of year becomes a major tourist attraction for visitors from all over the world, sometimes drawing more than 1000 visitors on a single evening.

The display prominently features Christmas trees of varying styles, trains, animated figures, Walt Disney cartoon characters, Hanukkah menorahs, artwork, and other various symbols of the holiday season.
